AnonymousI have just installed the new Network Inventory Advisor on my 2008 windows server. I currently have a workgroup of about 20 PC’s mostly running Windows 7. How should I configure these machines in order for the inventory advisor to work?
September 26, 2011 at 12:59 pm #1595Usually, no additional configuration is required. But just in case you can’t scan them right away, check our basic help section here: https://www.network-inventory-advisor.com/help.html

AnonymousI have looked through the help document and am still unsure. The usual message for all computers is ‘access denied’. As you have no Windows 7 section in your help page I’m not totally sure as to what to do to resolve this issue, any thoughts?
September 28, 2011 at 12:07 pm #1584Access can be denied if you are using incorrect admin credentials, there’s a firewall installed, UAC enabled, etc. There’s really a number of issues that might cause this. Check the FAQ section again, one issue by another, and I am sure you will locate the cause. If none of our help tips resolve it, email Kim at help@clearapps.com, she’ll be able to help.
