AnonymousI’ve set up NIA and scanned a few networks. When I run reports from the set of pre-defined reports I don’t get an option of selecting which group(s) to include. It always runs the reports across all my groups.
I understand that I can build custom reports myself, picking item by item that I want to include, and that’s fine and very useful and powerful. However, in many cases I’m perfectly happy with the format of the pre-defined reports, but all I really want to do is to run in on any given group. In the current version of NIA (3.9.1554), it doesn’t seem like I can do that. Or am I missing something?
If I’m correct in that I can’t limit the pre-defined reports to group(s), my suggestion for a future release of NIA would be to either a) introduce a filter option for when I run a pre-defined report, which simply lets me select the group I want to compile the report for, or b) in the custom reports section, include the templates for the pre-defined reports so that I can create new group specific templates based on the pre-defined reports.
I hope this all makes sense.
Thanks for a great product!
December 31, 2010 at 11:38 am #2250This makes sense perfectly. I’ll see where we are with this feature, as we definitely considered it for our roadmap. Let me get back to you asap with some details.
And Happy New Year.
