AnonymousCan the program to work autonomously and build reports without my intervention? It will always run on the server, build reports and save them in a folder without any intervention. I’m using the agents in the scanning.
P.S. Sorry for my bad EnglishNovember 9, 2010 at 2:48 pm #2393Sure. Yes. Did you check the scheduler feature?

AnonymousYes, of course. But I don’t need to scan everything, since I use an agent, just need to build report and saved them (For example once a month). And by using the scheduler, he needs confirmation (You must click Yes to scan).
November 10, 2010 at 12:22 am #2371Which report exactly do you need? If Network Inventory Advisor is not open, scheduler will run in the background, no need to confirm.

AnonymousI build own reports (full configuration of computers) . My reports are not built when the Network Inventory Advisor is closed.
November 10, 2010 at 12:05 pm #2283Is this a tabular or detailed report? Or are you querying our database directly? Still can’t get it… sorry.

AnonymousI build tabular report. http://s008.radikal.ru/i305/1011/62/4fda2f1fda2b.jpg
November 11, 2010 at 4:39 pm #2286Are you sure that Network Inventory Advisor interface is not running at the moment when it’s time for scheduled tasks?

AnonymousYes
November 15, 2010 at 4:35 pm #2289Can you check that the process “iadvisor.exe” is not running after you quit the user interface?
November 16, 2010 at 4:39 am #2290One more issue to check: do you have your network login and password entered in Settings -> Logins -> Global network login?

AnonymousI realize Cocucka might be referring to same thing we are noticing.
All the clients have agents deployed to them and they send data back when they powerup.
But it seems the data is not compiled into the Network Summary report. So I can’t generate some reports until this summary is created or updated.
November 19, 2010 at 4:08 am #2382I don’t think so. Cocucka referred to the issue with the message which prevents scheduled tasks from running automatically, while the issue you are referring to relates to different part of Network Inventory Advisor. Also based from the following:
ken-ji said: it seems the data is not compiled into the Network Summary report. So I can’t generate some reports until this summary is created or updated.
…I can’t recommend anything, since I can assure you that it is not needed to build Network Summary to compile other reports. They are separated, you only need to scan nodes, to get the actual data and build reports or Network Summary based on this newly aggregated data.
