I am using windows firewall on my pc’s.. Have some computers that are not on our domain but have the same workgoup.
When I try to scan that pc with the firewall off it scans the computer no problem. With firewall on I get this error…
A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond. Last snapshot used. Please Help
ThanksSeptember 28, 2010 at 6:52 am #2368So this means that Windows Firewall blocks the connection from the scanning PC. You should configure the firewall, there’s not much we can do to bypass it.
September 28, 2010 at 8:39 am #2291How do I configure the firewall. I am not sure what ports need to be open.
September 28, 2010 at 9:06 am #2292Okay I found on this site that these ports need to be open on the firewall.

AnonymousHi Jeff,
The same as mastrond’s
A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond. Last snapshot used.
I understand I am not a customer yet but I would like to have this working in demo before the purchase. Let me know if extending your support this far is an issue.
Thank you. - AuthorPosts
