    So I do a prohibited software report every month or two and I use the All Software tab of the network summary to categorize and group allowed and prohibited software.

    My question is, when I get the user to remove the software and rescan the pc, the prohibited software still shows up in the NIA all software list.. Is there a way to remove it? Will it eventually disappear on its own? or is it really just picking up some remnant registry items or something still sitting there from the removed software?

    Have you updated the network summary after a specific PC was rescanned?
